Historial Friction (2020)
About: The cover for a new podcast about the representation of history in books, TV shows and media.
Skills: illustrator; typography; colour variations
I was commissioned to create the cover for a fun new podcast exploring the (in)accuracies of historical drama in TV, books, film and various other media.
I took inspiration from ornate Georgian book frontispieces and Victorian arsenic wallpaper to create a floral piece with funky, anachronistic, clashing colour palates to reflect the show’s interest in why a particular media might swap historical inaccuracy in exchange for better storytelling, aesthetic and style.
